I can’t believe we’re half way through this year already. It is insane. The worst part is that hardly any of the things I wanted to do have been done. I have done other things, but still. I should make a list and see what I can do about getting some of those goals marked off.

Here’s a recap of what I’ve done in June.

Writing

I was on a writing spree this month, folks. 20+ blog posts written. I also moved the blog from Ghost to Hugo and had a ball with that. Finally got my comment section installed. Here are a few of the highlights of what I wrote this month: (I won’t link all 20).

I didn’t do any writing of fanfiction this month. I do want to get back into that. I have several stories I want to finish and publish.

Browsing

This is going to be dark.

  • Youtube - 3d 6h. I wrote about this. The problem hasn’t abated.
  • mtwb.blog - 22h 5m - Mostly me working in Ghost at the beginning of the month, but also working on getting the Hugo site up and ready.
  • Ao3 - 7h 19m - Fanfiction
  • reddit - 3h 31m. Down by an hour. Still seems too high.
  • ChatGPT - 5h 9m - Not sure why, though. Mostly setting up hugo and problems with that, I’d guess. I have noticed a disturbing habit of going to AI to ask questions.

Mobile Usage

  • FanFiction.net 19h 29m - More than I thought. I am in a bit of a reading slump but apparently, I read more fanfic that I thought.
  • TikTok - 18h 24m. Yes. Fuck me. I reinstalled TikTok. I just replaced it with YouTube Shorts, and it isn’t as good. It’s a problem.
  • Firefox - 11h 59m - Mostly reading Ao3 and other sites.
  • Vivaldi - 9h 42m - Same.
  • Kindle - 6h 9m - Down nearly 20 hours over last month. Reading slump.
  • Agr Reader (rss) - 3h 18m

Reading

No books finished, at all.

More fanfiction read than I thought. It doesn’t feel like I read much in the way of new stuff. I need to find a way to track this.

Blog Roll

I will do better at linking to blogs I’ve read each month.

Goals for July

  • Read 5 books
  • Get back on track with TLC. I’ve let it slip these last couple weeks.
  • Keep blogging.
  • Keep working on my local music collection.
