I’m Going To Beat Skyrim
A few days ago I wrote about my inability to actually play games that I buy. In that post I made a… lukewarm mention of trying harder. You could tell I really didn’t believe it. Honestly, I still don’t believe it. But, I’m going to stick to my promise and try. I’m going to play (and try to beat) Skyrim, a game I’ve bought not once, but twice, and have played 59 minutes of (and let’s be clear, most of that was in the character maker).
I loved Oblivion back in the day. I played about 500 hours of that before I got sick of it, most of that side quests because I got easily distracted, but I remember it being very fun. I had hoped to get into Skyrim when it first came out, but it just never happened. And like I said, I’ve bought it twice now. I have an XBOX 360 version and a Steam version. I’m sure the Steam version was bought on a sale, but still, buying anything like this twice is just dumb.
Anyway, that’s what I’m going to start to day. The goal will be to play a bit everyday. I know my attention span isn’t great so if I can manage 10 minutes everyday, I’ll be happy. I may beat the game in a few years at that pace, but it counts. And maybe I’ll get pulled in, we’ll see. But dammit, I need to make the gaming money worth it.
