I really think I’ve gotten better at writing since school. Granted I’ve been a writer professionally for nearly 20 years at this point. But, one thing I’ve struggled with is the changing tone of the writing I do. It’s hard for a writer to write in a professional tone and then do a blog post in a conversational tone. I would think that technical writers would also have the same issue if they were to switch to a different writing style.

So, I don’t think blogging has made me a worse writer, but it has challenged me to write differently than I do anywhere else.
