30 Blogs, 30 Days

This is something that I've wanted to do for a while. I think that blogging every day is a good idea. A kind of digital diary that you put out there for others to see. We all have life experiences that are our own, but we're all living this life together, and sharing is caring. Or so they say.

So, starting today, April 22, 2025, I intend to blog once per day. My goal is at least 100 words. It's not a lot, but it isn't about the length. It's about the commitment. Saying I'm going to do something, and then doing it.

So here's today's.

It has been a horrid day. Couldn't sleep very well, and then when I got up, was bombarded by trolls on my YouTube channel telling me to go off myself because I said something about their favorite Linux distro. Then I did some work, and it's just been one of those days.

But enough complaining.

I'm re-reading Ready Player One. I couldn't decide on a new book to read, so I decided to just do what my brain wanted me to do. I have also downloaded some books on the history of the Catholic Church. With the Pope dying, I decided I wanted to do some learning. So I spent two Audible credits on a 2 volume history of the Church and downloaded a couple of e-books from Amazon. That should keep me busy for a while. If I can keep my focus on them.

I've also joined an online book club. I found bookclubs.com yesterday and I liked it better than Fable. So, I found an active club, and I'm going to give it a try.

It was really difficult to find a club that wasn't women only, demographic only, or that only read non-fiction. Maybe straight white men don't do book clubs? There's quite a bit of gate keeping going on, or so it seems. But that's okay. I'll see how this goes.

And, I'm finally going to buy myself a guitar. I've always wanted to learn. I was in band back in school and I loved making music. I miss it terribly, so I want to try and get back into it. I don't know whether I'm coordinated enough to play guitar or not, but I would like to try.

Anyway, that's day 1. A little over 400 words. It was ramble-y, but when am I not? If you blog, I challenge you to the 30 in 30 challenge. If you take part, share your link in the comments or on Mastodon.
